Dear Engaged Couples,

We are delighted that you have chosen the grounds of Zvíkov State Castle for such an important day. As the castle is designated a national cultural monument and the wedding ceremony takes place within the guided tour area, it is necessary to follow certain rules and restrictions based on the visitor regulations to protect this valuable heritage site.

 

Rules and restriction

Castle premises
  • Consumption of food, alcoholic beverages (except for the traditional toast by the newlyweds), and smoking (including electronic cigarettes) are strictly prohibited during the ceremony.
  • Throwing rice, flower petals, or confetti in the courtyard is prohibited; however, the use of soap bubbles is allowed.
  • Pets/animals are not allowed to enter.
  • Entering the exhibition spaces is prohibited.
  • Any planned wedding customs or traditions must be consulted in advance with the castle management.
Photography
  • Photography is permitted in the courtyard area.
  • Due to the schedule of consecutive ceremonies, the time slot for photography is limited to 20 minutes.
  • The bride and groom may take photos in the arcade hallway on the upper floor of the palace (if interested in using these areas, the photographer/videographer simply needs to notify the staff at the ticket office before the ceremony).
  • Please limit photography in the castle park to the minimum necessary time.
  • Using drones in the castle area (a national cultural monument) is strictly prohibited by law.

 

Castle grounds 

  • Throwing dried flower petals or using soap bubbles is allowed within the castle grounds.

  • Please limit photography in the castle park to the minimum necessary time.

  • Organizing banquets, picnics, or serving tap beer is not allowed on the grounds.

  • Playing recorded music or hosting live music performances is not permitted on the grounds.

  Automobiles and parking
  • Due to the limited capacity of the courtyard, entry for 2 passenger cars is included in the fee.

  • Please use the designated area for parking inside the grounds (park perpendicular to the wall and do not block entrances).

  • Access to the castle grounds involves passing through two sharp angled gates; extreme caution must be taken to prevent damage to them.

  • Additional vehicles must park on the grassy area below the main parking lot.
